Princess Spa

Wow, what a busy week with Grand Rapids! There are so many posts to write!! But I will start with my favorite...the princess club! This past week we had the pleasure of hosting my home church and 5 very special women: Stephanie, Tammy, Susan, Kelsey, and Claire. The theme of the night was inner and outer beauty which started with a talk about the inner beauty God has given us as women and ended with a spa night!!

 

Proverbs 31:30 says:

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
   but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 

While women were designed by God to be outwardly beautiful, He also designed us to be inwardly beautiful. This beauty comes from the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, we are to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Colossians 3:12). Even though the most important beauty is the inner beauty, as women it also feels delightful to pamper ourselves on the outside! Stephanie provided facials and hair cuts, Tammy and Sue painted designer nails, while Kelsey and Claire taught the girls how to make homemade lip gloss!!
